This Policy explains how the website www.marit.rs uses cookies and similar technical mechanisms.

The use of cookies is governed, among other regulations, by the Law on Electronic Communications of the Republic of Serbia (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”, No. 35/2023) and, where their use involves the processing of personal data, by the Law on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”, No. 87/2018).

Cookies are small text files that a website may store on a user’s device when the website is visited.

Similar technical technologies may perform the same or a comparable function.

MARIT uses only technically necessary cookies and similar mechanisms required for the proper and secure operation of the website.

Such mechanisms may be required for:

  • proper display and operation of the website;
  • website security;
  • prevention of misuse and unauthorized access;
  • management of a technical session where required;
  • storing a technical preference or functionality explicitly requested by the user.

MARIT does not use cookies for advertising, visitor profiling, or tracking user behavior for marketing purposes.

In accordance with the Law on Electronic Communications of the Republic of Serbia (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”, No. 35/2023), prior user consent is not required where technical storage or access to data is strictly necessary for providing communication within electronic communications networks or for providing a service explicitly requested by the end user.

MARIT therefore uses only cookies and similar mechanisms falling within this category.

The website may contain links to third-party websites and services, including LinkedIn.

A standard link to an external website does not itself mean that the third-party service places cookies on www.marit.rs.

Once the user leaves the MARIT website and visits a third-party website, the use of cookies is governed by that third party’s own rules and policies.

Users can review, block, or delete cookies through the settings of their internet browser.

Disabling technically necessary cookies may affect the proper functioning of certain parts of the website.

MARIT may amend this Policy if the technical configuration of the website changes or if applicable regulations of the Republic of Serbia change.

If MARIT introduces cookies in the future that are not technically necessary, this Policy and the mechanism for managing user consent will be amended accordingly before such cookies are introduced.
